Striking WGA writers have voted and over 90% favored ending the strike that has been going on for over three months. This has left consumers without new TV shows, played havoc with movie productions, ruined some peripherally related business, and caused many millions of dollars in income loss for industry members. (Writers lost about US$285M in wages, and other members of the industry lost nearly half a billion.) WGA union members still need to ratify the contract offered to them.
