Rock Legend Ike Turner Passes Away

Ike Turner, music legend, died yesterday (Wednesday) at the age of 76. Ike, who is best known for abusing his ex wife, Tina Turner, was married four times, and has four (known) children.

Together, Ike and Tina wrote some great rock hits including “A Fool In Love” and “I Idolize You.” After their divorce, they both slipped beneath the radar until Tina’s mid-80’s comeback. Ike never recovered (musically speaking), and like other stars, he succumbed to drugs.

The Recording Academy stated, “There is no doubt that Ike Turner was one of rock and roll’s great architects with his genre-defying sounds.”
