The CEO of Prada, Patrizio Bertelli says that Prada is almost ready for the public. He said, “We are heading toward a new era in the company’s history, with solid development potential on the basis of strong momentum already shown by our results in the first semester of 2007.”
In 2006, Prada earned $104 million, and was recently valued at $3 billion. Luxury goods have done well on the stock market in the last several years, so if they make it there, not only would it be good for Prada (this is, however, their 6th try since 2001), but could be a good investment.
