New Death Cab for Cutie Album and Solo Project

Death Cab for Cutie is one of those bands that you probably have heard without knowing, and whose songs you actually like. Their new album is due in late May, and apparently it’s recorded live to analog tape with minimal overdubs. There’s even a nine-minute jam and several guests. Should be very interesting for a band whose music I think of as being very vibrant. Check out a video clip below of a live performance of Soul Meets Body.

By the way, fans of the band’s guitarist, Chris Walla, can also look forward to a “Barsuk” solo album later this month.
