Imagine the perfect travel bag. What’s in it? Who designed it? How does a Louis Vuitton-designed bag, perfected by fashion editor of Times of London Lisa Armstrong sound? What if I told you that this amazing bag was being auctioned off, and that 100% of the profits were going to charity? Well, it is, and they are.
One year ago, Lisa presented Louis with the challenge of finding something that would “lift the travel experience to a higher, more sophisticated, more luxurious level.” Over the course of several different meetings, they created that dream bag.
The bag was inspired by Eole (launched in 2007), and has a unique character forged onto it in iconic MONOGRAM canvas. This ultimate travel bag has two separate compartments which are trimmed in a “regal” purple leather; the color is one of Lisa’s favorites. At 50×32x32cm, the bag fits within the the carry-on limit for all of the major airlines.
But that’s not all. There are a lot of awesome features that go with it:
The starting bid is 10,000 GBP (approximately $20,500), and bids are accepted over-the-phone or online at http://www.clisargent.org.uk. Bidding started December 10, 2007 and will go through midnight on December 18, 2007. And, as previously mentioned, all of the money will be going towards charity, helping children fighting cancer and leukemia and their families.
