Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones in Sex and The City) is just as against fur coats as her character is for them. In the upcoming Sex and the City movie, Kim used four different fur coats (the animal rights group splashes them with paint), and she plan on donating them all to PETA.
The coats Kim donates will be given to the homeless. PETA uses all coats donated for protests and exhibitions or to donate to the homeless. The ones that go to the homeless are shaved down (and in the case of Kim’s, cleaned) in one spot and covered with a “PETA patch,” which reduces its value.
“The only people who can be excused for wearing fur are the homeless - to keep warm during the winter,” said PETA rep Michael McGraw.
