Jordin Sparks Releases Her New CD

Jordin Sparks, last season’s American Idol winner, released her self-titled first album “Jordin Sparks” today. This music, a combination of R&B and pop, is easy to listen to, even if it’s not what critics call “the best” American Idol has turned out.

This CD is geared towards young women who like romance, and are romantic themselves, “in love” if you will. There are some exceptions, but the songs still seem to have a similar-sounding theme. But that isn’t to say that American Idol’s youngest winner isn’t good, because she is, and she should only get better with age.

When I was younger, I’m sure this album would have been first on my Christmas list, as it has a friendly, happy sound, but also has a taste of the “I have low self-esteem sound” with a hopeful “it can get better feeling.” The CD also includes Jordin singing “This Is My Now,” which was obviously a (the) winner.
