Can you believe actor Paul Sorvino is almost 69? He’s had a long film and TV career dating back to 1970 that includes Mambo Italiano (2003), Bulworth (1998), the Romeo + Juliet (1996) remake starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, Goodfellas (1990) and a short stint on TV’s Law & Order.
More recently, Sorvino has taken up directing, including The Trouble With Cali (written by daughter Amanda Sorvino and starring daughter Mira, son Michael, and brother Bill Sorvino). The movie is in post-production and due to be released this year.
The trouble with The Trouble is that his investor partners, Lackawanna County in Pennsylvania, are asking where the movie is, and what has he done with their $500,000 investment. As Sorvino says, he can fully account for the money, but politicians don’t really understand the movie business. (Makes me wonder why he’d ever partner with a government.)
Sorvino will appear in this film along with The Real Catch and Repo! The Genetic Opera. The latter’s trailer is shown below (it’s yet another movie with Paris Hilton in it).
What Do You Think?
