Depeche Mode Cancels Another Show

Maybe it is better to burn out than to fade away, when it comes to rock’n'roll. It isn’t just Aerosmith cancelling their shows - their entire N. American tour, in fact, thanks to lead Steven Tyler’s falling off stage. Depeche Mode have cancelled two shows this week, including the San Francisco concert this past Wedneday, and last night’s San Diego show - both due to Dave Gahan’s vocal problems. For their current Tour of the Universe tour this year, over a dozen shows have been cancelled due to various health problems Gahan has suffered, including a cancerous gall bladder tumor, a torn calf muscle, and now vocal problems.

Since the San Diego show is not being rescheduled this year, tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Shows at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday & Monday are still on… for now. (Cancellations are due to doctor’s orders.)
