Celebrity Passings - Roy Scheider, Ron Leavitt

Roy Scheider, stage/ film/ TV actor and ex-boxer, has died at the age of 75. Reports are that he was being treated for cancer but died from a staph infection. His film acting career included roles in Jaws, Klute, and French Connection. His last two films are Iron Cross and Dark Honeymoon, coming out this year. He also appeared in The Poet and If I Didn’t Care in 2007.

Ron Leavitt, producer and writer, has died at age 60 of lung cancer. His career includes writing for for Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, as well as co-creating Married… With Children and Unhappily Ever After.
