In the January 2008 issue of Glamour, Carrie Underwood spills her secrets on how she lost weight - and how she’s keeping it off. “I watch what I eat.”
The American Idol winner explains that she rights down everything she eats, “I’m slightly obsessive-compulsive about what I eat, more than I should be.” She also said that in the year that she’s been doing it, she’s become more healthy and lost some weight.
And what has she been eating? Not meat, Carrie’s been a vegetarian since she was 13. In fact, she says, “I don’t think I could kiss someone after they ate a hamburger ’cause they would probably taste like it, and that would gross me out.”
As per exercise, Carrie says that she chooses cardio “and that big exercise ball.” I have to agree with Carrie on that one: those exercise balls are awesome. And Carrie’s not the only star promoting cardio. Several of the stars who have been on Dancing with the Stars, like Karinna Smirnoff and Marie Osmond, have lost 10-20 pounds, and many of them are keeping it off - by dancing. Dancing is fun anyway, and it’s an excellent cardio workout - I’m sold.
As for Carrie’s work plans, she will be joining up with Keith Urban for a 24-day tour. Now, that’d be a good thing to see.
