Angelina Jolie is Top Goody Two Shoes?

Reuters reported last week that Angelina Jolie tops the list from a poll they did of best celebrity humanitarians:

1. Angelina Jolie.
2. Bono.
3. Desmond Tutu.
4. Bill Gates.
5. Bill Clinton.
6. Jimmy Carter.
7. Kofi Annan.
8. Mia Farrow.
9. Don Cheadle.
10. Brad Pitt.

Out of the above list, I vote Bono as the top nosiest do-gooder celebrity, sticking his nose into everyone’s politics and telling world leaders what to do, where to donate money without actually doing it himself. If someone proves me wrong, I’ll retract this, but he is also on another Reuters list as #4 celebrity who gave celebrity humanitarianism a bad name.

The list is surprising in the bottom half. Surely Brad Pitt deserves to be a bit higher, especially for his Make it Right project in New Orleans? And I had no idea Mia Farrow and Don Cheadle were doing humanitarian work. Bravo to everyone, regardless.

Given recent activity from other celebs, you might see Denzel Washington and Nicole Richie/ Joel Madden next year.
